The Davis Ferguson Memorial Foundation was started by our loving family in the memory of Davis Ferguson who died at age of 10 of an inoperable brain tumor. The foundation was formed after his death in 2006 with the intent to raise money for pediatric cancer research by hosting an annual golf tournament and silent auction as well as a charity dinner.
The Inaugural Davis Ferguson Memorial Golf Tournament and Silent Auction held on April 30, 2007 – the week Davis would have celebrated his 11th birthday – raised more than $32,000. The full amount was given to the American Brain Tumor Association for pediatric research. In our 1st 9 Years we have raised just over $525000 that has been donated to the American Brain Tumor Association for pediatric research as well as given to 100’s of local families who have a child with a terminal illness in the way of grants, all of this has been done in Davis' name.
Our goal moving forward is to continue honoring Davis’ legacy by building continuously on the success of our first-year fund raising efforts. We will continue to honor Davis by helping local families in need through our partnership with the Children’s Cancer Center as well as helping find a cure for this cruel disease just like Davis would have done.
